Accident Claims
Accident Claims
If you have a road accident, which is not your fault, you may think you will not lose out financially, if you go through your own insurer, when making your accident claim. This is not true. Your insurer will charge you any agreed policy excess- even though the accident was the other driver’s fault. Also, unless you have fully comprehensive cover, you will not be supplied with a replacement car. If you only have third party cover, you will find that your own insurer will do nothing to help you with any accident claims- all they are interested in is not paying out any money.
Whatever your level of cover, your insurer will leave much of the running around up to you, when sorting your accident claims. You will be expected to sort out any accident claims repair estimates, and your insurer will decide which garage fixes the car. Most insurers are not prepared to offer a cash in lieu of repairs option, on accident claims. Accident claims handling is the largest source of complaint amongst policy holders.
In contrast, Easigo accident claims look after all aspects of your accident claims. We chase up the other driver’s insurers, lend you a replacement vehicle, and permit you to select which repairer fixes your accident claim damage. We are also able to offer you a cash in lieu option, if we are handling the injury side of your accident claims.
Easigo accident claims will arrange for your vehicle to be recovered, and it will be taken to a a secure accident claims compound, where an accident claims assessor will prepare a report on the damage. Our engineers value accident claims vehicles at forecourt prices, and provide work estimates using manufacturers figures and new parts only.
Compensation for accident claims is another area where Easigo offer a better service. We will organize a proper evaluation of your accident claims injuries, and can organize physiotherapy and other treatments, to help you recover from your accident.
Easigo accident claims charges no fees to its clients, all costs are recovered from the other driver’s insurers. When it comes to accident claims, you are far better to rely on Easigo accident claims, than your own insurer!

Accident Claims question by Jane: When a car accident claim is settled, who is responsible for paying the medical claims?
We recently settled our car accident claim with Allstate for $ 25,000. We received $ 9.000 personally, the lawyer received $ 9,000 and $ 7,000 was designated for medical payments. Does the lawyer normally receive the money for medical payments,,,and is he responsible for paying the doctors, hospitals, etc.? THANK YOU!
The lawyer negotiated the settlement.
Accident Claims best answer:
Answer by Bill
No that is your job, however if he is a good attorney he may try to negotiate the amount of the bills for you.
did you get a settlement offer before you got the lawyer? was the $ 9k you ended up with more or less than their pre-lawyer offer?
That means the 7k is specifically purposed for medical payments. You don’t get a check, you present the bills and they get paid out of that money. Lawyer has nothing to do with it.
It depends on the attorney. Some will request that all payments be sent to them for disbursement and the attorney will then pay everyone (including himself) and send you the remainder. Some will request that the insurance company pay the medical provider directly.
Contact your attorney to find out who is paying the medical payments.
You will be responsible for any and all medical bills. If $ 7,000. is not enough, you will be responsible for the rest. It doesn’t matter who actually pays them, the insutrance company, the lawyer or you. You are responsible.
